Resistant to moisture

All our Visionwood Venetian Blinds are manufactured with high quality materials, making them resistant to moisture. This means they’re ideal for wet and high humidity areas such as kitchens, laundries and bathrooms.

Also, Visionwood venetians are anti-fungal and anti-static, making them a great choice for asthma sufferers.

Featuring a wide 85mm valance that provides better light blocking, Visionwood blinds create a perfect look in any window.

Things to Remember

Always use a steel tape for accuracy - make sure the tape measure is straight and tight when you take your measurements

Always measure in millimetres (mm)

Measure all windows, even those that appear to be the same width and height

Don't forget the stacking height of your chosen blind (refer to the table at the bottom of this page)

Do not take any deductions (i seek will do this for you)

Inside Mount

Measure Venetian Blind Inside Mount

To measure a Venetian blind on the inside of your window frame you need at least 70mm depth for a flush mount. With this depth, the blind will go up and down without any obstruction.

Ensure you look for any knobs, handles, winders or the inner window frame that may obstruct the blind. If you have any obstructions you will need to mount your blind to the outside of your window frame.

Outside Mount

Measure Venetian Blind Outside Mount

To measure a Venetian blind on the outside of your window frame measure the width from the edge of the architrave to the edge of the architrave at the top of your window frame. This is where your brackets are to be mounted.

Measure the drop from the top of the architrave to the bottom of the architrave. This measurement may be increased if you want your blind to drop past the bottom of your window frame or to the floor.

Corner Windows

If you have a corner window where the blinds need to meet for maximum privacy, measure one blind as a through blind and one blind as a butt blind. When measuring the butt blind you need to deduct 65mm off the measurement.

Inside Mount

Your blind will come with installation brackets and screws. Once unwrapped always handle your venetian blind from underneath the metal head rail. Follow these steps for an easy installation:

  1. Always install your blind without the valance.

  2. Your box brackets are marked left and right and must be installed with the flap hinged at the top and facing out. (Figure 1 & 2)

  3. Place 2 screws in each bracket either diagonally into the side of the window frame or through the top of the bracket into the underside of the window frame. (Figures 1 & 2)

  4. For larger blinds install your centre support bracket in the middle of your window frame. This may have to be offset slightly if it interferes with the middle ladder tape of the blind. (Figure 3)

  5. Open the flaps on your brackets, then insert your blind. (Figure 4)

  6. Close both flaps and ensure you hear a 'click' as they lock into place. (Figure 5)

  7. Install your valance.

  8. Your blind is now installed - and can be lowered.

  5. If supplied mark screw holes for the centre support bracket. (Figure 7)

Regular cleaning of your Visionwood Venetian blinds will help minimise dust buildup.
  1. Extend your blinds all the way.

  2. Tilt the slats up and dust lightly with a cloth or duster.

  3. Tilt the slats down and dust the other side lightly with a cloth or duster.

  4. To avoid damage, don’t exert too much pressure.

  5. A vacuum cleaner may also be used. Place the soft brush attachment on the hose and run very lightly over the slats first in their up position then in their down position. You should first test a small area of the blinds to make sure the suction is not too great. Some vacuums may damage the slats.

  6. For individual stains on any given slat, spray with non-abrasive cleaner, wait 1 to 2 minutes, and wipe with a soft cloth.
