How to Measure
How to measure - Direct Mount & Hang Strip installations
In this video, Michael explains exactly what a Direct Mount Plantation Shutter is, and how to measure for it. These instructions can also be used for the Hang Strip installations method as the installs are very similar. Directly mounting the panel to the window recess, or the hang strip (within the window recess), means you reduce the bulk inside the recess, ensuring that the blades are made as wide as possible for a great result. The measuring process is super simple too!
How to measure - U-Channel
In this new video, Mike explains how to measure for a U-Channel plantation shutter. He describes the uses for this particular shutter - U Channels are used where you have an internal wall cavity and a stylish way to divide rooms. The panels are fixed into position so will not open, however, the blades of course do. Split tilts are a common option selected to enable separate operation of sections of the blades for light control and privacy.
