Heading Options

S-Fold Heading

An S-Fold, otherwise known as a wavefold heading, creates a supremely finished appearance and also has a tighter stack back than regular drapery headings, making better use of your light and view.

We use a 75mm S-Fold heading tape to ensure the curtain is well structured, delivering a gentle S-shaped curve that holds its form all the way from the top to the bottom of the curtain. Your curtains will hang beautifully for an outstanding result.

Fullness: S-Fold heading has a minimum 200% fullness, meaning that the fabric width is 2 x the width of the track giving volume and depth to the curtain.
Heading depth: The S-fold heading is 100mm deep (from the front of the curtain to the back)
Stack width: When an S-Fold curtain is in the open position, the stack is approximately 1/3 of the total track width.

All of our curtains are made in a continuous fashion, leaving no joins or panels.

Brackets for Standard Track: Wall Mount

There are three bracket options available for wall mounting your curtains. Select either a standard bracket, extension bracket or double bracket depending on your needs.

  • Standard brackets:  These brackets enable you to hang your curtains over the top of an architrave with no obstructions. They are 80mm long, and can be extended up to 110mm (adjustable).
  • Extension brackets: These brackets give you the ability to hang curtains over the top of roller blinds or plantation shutters, so you get full clearance to hang your curtains. They are 115mm long, and can be extended up to 150mm (adjustable).
  • Double brackets: These extra long brackets can carry two tracks so you can install double curtains. Double brackets give you the ability to hang  two curtains one in front of the other, with clearance in between so they run smoothly. They are 160mm long, and can be extended up to 190mm (adjustable).

How do I select my brackets?

Ceiling Mount: These will be automatically selected for you during the buy process, based on your track style (Curved or Standard).

Drop Effects

Drop Effects

Curtains can be finished in a number of different ways depending on the effect you want to create. Choose and measure for the drop effect that you prefer:

Hover

The curtain ‘hovers’ just above the floor, making it easier to clean underneath. This finish is also practical for curtains positioned over exit doors or behind furniture, and in homes where you have pets. Curtains with a hover effect can sit approximately 10-15mm above the floor.

How to measure: Measure down to the floor and subtract between 10-15mm. This will be the finished size that you order. We will make the curtain to this measurement.

Just touching

The curtain just touches the floor for a completed look. Curtains with a just touching effect should sit approximately 5-10mm above the floor.

How to measure: Measure down to the floor and subtract between 5-10mm. This will be the finished size that you order. We will make the curtain to this measurement.

Breaking gently

To create a sense of luxury and grandeur, add additional length to your curtain so that it ‘breaks’ (or puddles) gently over the floor. Curtains with a breaking gently effect can puddle on the floor by approximately 20-40mm (personal choice).

How to measure: Measure down to the floor and add between 20-40mm. This will be the finished size that you order. We will make the curtain to this measurement.

Left or Right-hand stack: 1 x wand will be provided

Centre or Free Floating opening: 2 x wands will be provided.

Wand Sizes:

750mm, 1000mm, 1250mm, 1500mm
